Full Rig down with a 60ft Japanese Maple in good condition 10ft away. Long drag for chipping and tight access. Overhanging two neighbours gardens.

 

3 man job 1 day. Pricey? I do not think so!

 

Sorry just reread the OP, I had missed the 70' bit :blushing:

 

Sounds like the other guy is very desperate for work and will work for next to nothing :confused1:

 

You can't really blame the customer for wanting to save £225.

I wouldn't let it bother you,your price for 3 blokes & the kit sounds about right to me,the other guy must be hard up for work if he is doing it for £200.

That's the problem. Undercutting is not good, but you can't win em all. I pride myself on being professional, clean and recommended for my work.

 

Only problem it's getting quiet on the tree work here.

i looked @ 3, beech to remove 1,st 2,are simple straite foward, t/d 1,day , 3,rd all to rigg down tite drive multi stemed ,al staying on 2, including looging it up,£1200 for the job ,guy up road £150 per tree & the timber !!!!!

If its any consolation, at 425 for 3men for the day, you'd be under-cutting me considerably, then I'd be starting a thread too (if I could be bothered) Seems desperate times are taking their toll.
