346XP or 357XP?

357 out of the 346 or 372 is the best all rounder , light enough to use all day but still has the torque and power for medium size hard woods that makes work easy! My current 357 seems indestructible unlike my 372 that likes to fall apart regularly !! 346 is a good saw but lacks that little bit of power in medium hard woods.

I have the 346xpg 357xpg and a 372xpg i would recommend the 357xpg with a 15" bar for every day felling and sneading.And get a heated handle.

:thumbup:They are pretty good the heated handles on the 357 get toasty really quickly !! will defietly get another xpg for my next saw ,wont be long before the 357 replacment comes out ,hope it matches the 357 !

I'd go for the 364. I use one with a 15" bar and it's perfect for general use. The little bit of diffenance in weight between the 346 and the 357 adds up during the day. For example, if you do a lot of brashing. When you've saved up a bit then you could get a 372. That way you'd handle any thing from 13" to 24"

I have to agree with hardwood logger, 357 with 15" bar, definitely get heated handle and i would only consider a Stihl if it was a damn sight cheaper than the Husqvarna equivalent.

My 346 with 13" is a bit underpowered in dense stuff like beech/oak up to guide bar length diameter. Brilliant if cutting smaller diameter softwoods or softer hardwoods like ash/birch/sycamore though. My 346 is twice the saw of my ms260.

Hope this helps !
