Learning to spell desperate would be a good start :biggrin:

 

argh just a speed typo! so i must of spelt ettiquet right then! touch!:lol:

 

When I was at Uni they were very strict about the way you referenced.

 

We had to reference in whats called the Harvard referencing style.

 

yeah covered that in my first year on the degree (no longer on )

You're probably already doing the best thing, reading as many papers written in a formal academic style as you can.

 

The common themes are that they are written in the third person, they avoid unfounded certainties and they use short structural sentences and paragraphs. I find that there is a considerable cross over from a formal tree report style.
