Is leylandii any good fire a firewood if seasoned for a year? Could it be sold as firewood to?

I would happily burn seasoned leylandii, but I don't think many people would buy it!

Yeah leylandii burns fine, customers are not keen though?

as long as it's seasoned then sell it as softwood not leylandii & it should be fine.

 

i must say i've never burnt any personally but if you split it from day one it'll season a lot quicker.

Burns great, although i find it tends to have a lot of sap on it seasoned, i put gloves on to lift it from the logstore.

All of us should be selling our wood as 90% hardwood, then chuck other crap in to make the 10% up. We all know that mixing it up in the fire works best. My mum burns loads of leylandii/willow/poplar etc etc. cos she wont let it go to waste, I've burnt Ash only a few times and I can't control my fire, so mixing has to be best, just don't tell the customer what it is!!
