so from their website 1m3 = £160! That is more expensive than coal!

does anyone know of any customers who buy or have bought this "kiln dried" wood at these sorts of prices?

looking at various other "national" suppliers on the web it appears to me that one of the biggest attractions for customers must be the fact that the wood is crated and can be forked into position at customer premises in a ready made logstore. but you you sure pay for that luxury.

:confused1: How can it be a "spot check", if you know they are coming??:confused1:

New policy by Lancs CC

From their letter.

"Historically these farm inspections have been carried out unannounced. The appointment system is undertaken in the hope it will benefit all parties by reducing wasted time and focusing on issues where we can help.

It then gives a detailed checklist of what their looking for none of which affects me so I can see it being a very short meeting.

So its an "arranged visit", not a "spot check".

what are they checking for :confused1:

Animal records for Cattle ,Sheep,Goats and Pigs, movements, breeding records, passports, ear tags, Animal By Products, disposal of animals, Animal transport certificates, Transporter authorisations, Transport vehicles and trailers. All rather stupid really as we was a Horticultural Nursery prior to getting into power generation and timber.

Been a farm since approx 1650 just have lovely neighbours who like to drop you in it obviously since we have done Landshare they believe we are now keeping animals. Last week it was the Right of Way people complaining about a puddle across the public footpath caused by the next door neighbour blocking the field drain.
