Have you started carving the stump yet?

 

We spent friday winching the timber into position for milling and removing the smaller dia timber.

 

6t of chip

4t of smaller wood

7t of wood left to mill

currently 1.5t of sawdust, twigs and bits of bark.

 

Got all of monday to carve it as im thinking its going to take me a full 8hrs to get it domed out and measured up. Just need to arrange getting the lucas mill on site to do the timber. :thumbup1:

Jaysus, we had a fair bit of metal in today's tree Ian, but not on that scale.

 

This dead (only recently) sycamore basically sned itself on impact. I'm gutted we didn't film it. Should do 4/5 level loads in the Transit.

Almost ready fire wooded. I miss being able to burn all the rubbish. A little more relaxing than cutting, chipping, noise etc.
