Nice job on the Beech Jon Lad!

Doesn't really compare to my job this morning but they all help pay the bills :thumbup1:.

Hornbeam in Ladbroke Grove down to be reduced but permission only given for a 15% thin (mainly at the tips) and crown clean.

Before and after.

Nice job:thumbup:

Due to the nature of LA work and public perception of trees I wish there where more TO's out there (not trying to pinhole (is that the right word) and not blaming any TO's) that would commission works to trees at this sort of percentage rather than the butchery at 30-50% i seem to be doing lately

I know requests to councils are made for tree works of management of local trees with a specific outcome in mind in respect of the public.

But i think it is the public that needs educating!

The problem is that its the public's money being spent on tree work, and in these ever-tightening times they want to see what they perceive to be value for money. In Rich's fine example, Joe Public wouldnt be able to tell what the money has been spent on. Whereas a 40% reduction is clear to all how much has been done.

How do we educate the public better? And do they care, its still going to drop leaves in their gutters, on their lawns, trees to many are a nuisance....til they're gone.
