this mornings job little birch reduction, took a good 15ft off the tops. been badly hacked in the past and gone mad.

thanks, reductions are something i have really been working on hard recently used to be so unsure about them, slowly getting it now. without asking where to take every branch

it was simply a well planned out way for me to get ian to climb up half way to get my rope back since he was feeling lonely standing around in the cold

Just one from the end of an easy day. Climbed up and took a major limb of to make sure it was going away from the house then my boss with some help from myself felled into a field. This was the only pic that came out ok, the bloke in charge of the camera failed to video it!! Thankfully we're not cutting up the metal ridden trunk. Reason for fell was it had lost a third of its crown a few years back and was now heading into decline.

I recon the person taking the timber away will probably make as much from the scrap metal in it as they will from the timber... Lots of sharpening practice!

Feeding the new chipper today.

 

Awesome 15mm capacity. 240 hp (think it was hp).

 

If you look carefully you can see the new Stein mini-arbor trolley we used to run the cordwood.

 

Luckily I found an extra crisp packet in the cab, as all the chip was being bagged.

 

3 of us smashed through the job with this kind of kit on site, but I'm glad VOSA didn't give us a tug on the way home.

 

They might easily have confiscated our cycling proficiency badges.
