conifer bashing today until i stepped on a man hole cover (which was hidden under all the soil nd rubbish over the years of having a conifer over it) lucky it wasnt a very deep 1 only about 3/4ft deep :thumbdown: then a blue cedar being reduced 50% and the remaining 50% to be felled in 12 months time.

You drew me in with all this talk of conny bashing and all i get to see is a few twigs near a manhole:001_tt2::lol::laugh1:

Ive done exactly the same mate, mine was deeper though and i had the saw in my hand. Bloody hurt. I still get stick for it though about 18months on.. lol

Why reduce the cedar but then fell in 12 month mate??

 

im just subby climber on this one, from what i gathered on job got told tree officer and surveyor are having a tiff, the surveyor wants tree out cause its to close to house and tree officer says hes talking bull. i would have much rather felled it straight in one hit, but surveyor wants it done in 2 so who am i to argue double the money :thumbup1:
