yea Tom D its right by Aira Force, at Ullswater. That spruce is huge aye, ive been 3 times now and i never get sick of looking at it. apparently planted as part of an arboretum during the 1800's.

I've been on that walk, north eastern side of the lakes isn't it? That sitka is impressive in the flesh.

 

check out the giant tree of thirlmere, a silver fir planted in 1820.

Took a large leader of this gum 2day,Lift up off neighbours thin/dead wood.Bit stressful,rigging wasnt going right.

 

Think they are thinking about removing the large blue gum in the back,which is about 2-3 times the size of the one we worked on.
