nice tree that, should be a good climb too. Just deadwood over road/drive leaving whats over in the field?

 

Correct, only whats over road, just those couple of big limbs you can make out in the picture, we are slowly losing this tree, did same job about 2 years ago. Think within another 5 years it will be a monolith.

Dont let it die if its like that, get a retrenchment program on it, there some dark areas in the scars, is it brown rotted heartwood? Fistulina maybe, or Laetiporous. you could keep this old girl going if you get the prune regim right.:thumbup1:

got this badboy to deadwood next week, woohoo. Nice of the estate to put the new fence up then decide to do the tree work.:thumbup1:
