Rich, gloves are very good, can last only a day though on something with a lot of climbing, there OK in the cold but last week I was having to warm my fingers with the exhaust emissions. I think Peter gave me this link...http://www.505uk.com/index.php?category=Gloves&group=Latex&Submit=select_group

Mossa, yes the whole lot is being cut and split on site.

An Ash dismantle in a small garden in east London. started it before xmas... delayed a couple of time for the snow and finished it off last friday. pretty much everything as rigged to avoid impact damage.

Nice photos Rich. I reckon your at about the limit of that ISC capstan with the last piece.

One of the first times I did any rigging I took off a big lump and there was some slack in the rigging system. The capstan crumpled at the top and trapped the lowering rope. It took ages to take the weight off the capstan and finally get it to the ground. I ended up cutting a lump from the suspended peice to make it easier to lift. .

It was my fault really but im no longer a fan of that capstain.

Cutting grooves in the wood like you have is what stopped me losing the rest of the lumps I cut out today. The lump that got away I had spent about 15 mins setting and dressing as soon as it swung into the stem it baled.:blushing:
