Correct me if im wrong but if that tree is left untouched for another 10 years, wouldnt it be as big or bigger than originally?, and wont it be loaded with epicomic at the heading cuts?, and wont the heading cuts be loaded with decay?

things are different here, thats one of the reasons i started this forum, so we could post pics with people who understand what we are up against. i personally go the routes you suggested, ie replant with better species.

yea its topped ..........go over it with a hege cutter every year and its topairy,whats the prob!

My first post so I got a mess of'em... looks like 4 at a time; no particular order...

 

Me rigging dead white oak limbs over a fancy house. The whole stem had to go from the upper left TIP to the main trunk... landing zone was like 6' wide by 12' long right next to the house... oy!

OK, I'm winding down.

 

A job from last Saturday using a highline to remove a leaning, dead chestnut oak with a tight landing zone. Photos by my 12 year old son and ace #1 groundman, Bryce.
