You can eliminate that by (before throwing it) undercutting, then carefully topcutting (but stop short of popping it off) the limb that is holding it up in the air. The tree will collapse and the butt will be closer to the ground, in a much safer position.

thats alll good but we didnt want to pull the tree over from just one stem and the only other option was to do it from all 3, i thought about cutting the said branch but didnt want the force of the tractor pulling to snap it off befor it was going in the right direction, there was a hell of alot of weight on the back side...:001_tongue:

 

Yeah, you need a set of spikes and a lanyard to fell that high!!:scared:
