Took these pics a while back whilst subbing... v. large crane, 78 tonne, 32 m tall and 50 metre reach. Job was to take out 12 Lombardi Pops, alonside railway line.:wave:

This time a dangerous, dead beech, tree dismantled using crane and MEWP due to state of the tree... :wave:

 

I am the one feeding the chipper with dead bits:cussing:

Nice work big gun, that Beech did'nt look to bad certainly climbable, but cranes and mewps make things easier, safer and fun.

Did you have to strip out one side before you could get into the tree with the MEWP BigGUN?

 

I can imagine it could be hard work getting in to attach the sling for the first few lifts.

 

By hek though thats an ugly bunch in the last photo int it ? :wave:

thats a bloody big crane!

any more pics ?looked an interesting job

 

no more pics, we were set back a lot with the weather and the railway shut down and then the wind picked up... second day was a bit of a rush so no more pics.

 

lift company need to get a bigger crane to reach the last three trees... , so will take some more pics.

 

MB, sorry dont know how much that crane costs day

I think , if I remember correctly, Chris, took a load of the smaller stuff out by hand to open up the crown... Once we got on with things though the removal became a lot easier. Some may have climbed the beech, but we dont make that the decision, as I said I was just subbing :wave:
