i just saw them on the way to the shop earlier and thought id best take a photo.

 

fyi that hedgeline theyre on... beyond that is the railway embankment, so i did wonder if the line clearance guys went to town on them big style, but i couldnt believe my eyes. no excuse is a good excuse for that IMO

 

but then if you're being serious that its some well maintained urban pollarding... Ive got a lot to learn, but I hope I never have to put my name to one

Its a Lime, in one of the best examples of a communal Victorian garden in Glasgow. These people are some of my best clients - hardly want the trees touched, just deadwooding 1 inch diameter and larger and some minor branch reductions. Most of our work is removals so this kind of work is a real treat.
