Could you fix it with a solid link to the hiab, that only allowed it swing in line with the crane??

 

great idea dave, it isnt mine, i hired it for the day, i wouldnt be able to change it as its not mine and it would probably effect the loler ticket, but i plan on getting one made up and your idea would certainly improve the working positions:001_cool:

No reason why not.

 

Needs a 'handle' like a bucket so that it is always level, not matter what the height.

 

Provided it was correctly fabricated, an engineer should have no problem lolering it, either a new build or a modification to an existing basket.
