Thats a short bar for an 880 mind, dont think i have ever used one that will sit straight like that without the bar pulling it over:laugh1:

Yeh it is, think its a two and a half foot Oregon bar but don't quote me on that:lol:

Its fine, i dont have a problem with it, i had a transit before this one and its much better than the tranny. carries the load great.

A few Ash dismantles from today. The old bloke next door had all the wood and brash, cut it up and dragged it himself! Needless to say the groundy won't need a shower tonight. We had a decent camera on site for once.

my new toy arrived today, ever since i ordered it ive been thinking how will i get it to my yard as i dont own a small trailer i was thinking id have to buy a little trailer, lucky that it has some small wheels on it so i can just wheel it up onto the tranny, didnt fancy lifting it every time it weighs 140KG with no good lifting grips

ive just got the handy pro 7 ton with the briggs and stratton engine, we have been puttin it thru the hard test and to be fair it has been very good and surprisingly quick.

 

we had to lift it into the truck to transport to lock up which was a tough task and not to be repeated.

they are great for what they are and what they cost its just moving them around thats the pain. i have no complaints with it tho. nor does a friend of mine who has the same as me bought it earlier in the year he said hes not found anything it wont split, only thing is he said its much easier to split dryed wood than wet wood and sometimes its easier to just cut some big rings in half then put it on the splitter.

2 pops to dismantle. 4 of us on site, Ross Smith doing the big easy tree, I had the smaller but more technically challenging leaner to the right.

 

With the help of a rigging point Ross set in the 2nd big limb up on the right in his tree I had mine down to a fellable pole by first break.

 

Busy day, will have the big stick felled by late morning tomorrow, but every twig has to be handballed out the garden. No machine access.

 

Reason for fells was subsidence issues with shoddily built new houses to the rear.
