Syamore reduction from today. In terms of the quantity of foliage removed, it was probably around 35%, as I took one biggish limb out completely and then lightly reduced what was left. Not the prettiest but it should achieve what the client wanted without completely ruining the tree.

Job from Tuesday, felling two rotten beech.

 

Took most of the side and top out of the first one and then felled into the available space.

Felled the second in one go.

 

Not a lot of sound wood for a hold, about an inch! and on the wrong side of the weight.
