nah its a bit of a pest tree really. Gravillia robusta i think is the proper name. lots of people can be allergic to the tree as well so its not the favourite of many people.

I took one of those down in Mosman, NSW, the guy I was working for called me up the night before and asked if I had any kind of allergic reaction to the Silky Oak, as I had never even heard of one I said no.

 

It didn't effect me at all.
