A crane job from Thursday, qtip doing the dismantle whilst i was left to take down the biggest Holly i've ever seen:001_huh:

A great day for treework nice and cool with blue sky, not a big tree only access was tight having a crane made this job a doodle 9:30 start done by 11:30.

Did the Oak trunk stay standing or get felled?

We retrenchment pruned it last year including some coronet cuts, one side was already dead then this year the other side came into leaf and rapidly died, I'm unsure as to the reason why there are 2 oaks the either side that are fine no external signs of any pathogens?

We wanted to leave it as a monolith by just making it smaller and include more coronet cuts, only the site decided they wanted to sculpt the trunk so yes the stem is staying and will be carved into something nice.

is that re enforcing bar josh?? i was felling a multi stemmed conifer with the 084 and 36" bar and hit a piece right near the hinge when making the back cut thus ruining the chain and making it swing about 30 degrees from where it was meant to land.

ah well at least i squashed some of those solar lantern things!!
