I can't see what the problem is, these LA lads have got no gahoona's :001_smile:

 

Remove some concrete bollards and some fencing and fell it back to left of camera, slot it nicely between the traffic signals.

 

The odd bit of damage to the odd sign will cost miniscule amounts to put right compared to monies lost in industry through road closures and traffic disruption

 

Do it at midnight and clean up before 2am job done

i am with you dean, except i would mulch it with a 400hp fendt in about an hour, nip in with a jcb and give those beds a good mulching. finish for 1.15am.proper job:001_tongue::001_smile:

I can assure you, that if it is the tree I am thinking the LA would not allow the carnage of a 'in one fell' The tree is bigger than it looks. The people in the area are a bit stuffy to say the least, if you damaged a blade of grass or fence post the grief would be a 'mare.

 

But a little disruption to traffic is a small price to pay when you consider the alternative of it falling into one hell of a busy road. Can't really understand the logic behind it - perhaps the decision maker likes poker? :confused1::confused1:

Rich, the cost of a bit of damage is small change compared to the cost of shutting an busy arterial route.

Many years ago they calculated the cost of shutting one side of the m62 to be 1 million pound per minute. Any major arterial route will be near on par with that. So replacing the odd specimin tree or a road sign will be acceptable

 

With my "in one fells" there is no carnage, just a well calculated, well executed precise fell :001_cool:
