I carry mine on the left but am not right handed, I just wear it backwards and flip the saw round so it goes straight in, no worries.

 

If you are right handed and reach across to the left then you want it backwards anyway, but I can see it coudl be a pain for left handers, but I would usually put it in my left hand before replacing it and that works ok.

I'm Left Handed and I use a Sugoi. before that I used to use the Natanoko saws which only went in the scabbard one way. 

I've always found it quite convenient that the saw is backwards on you harness - It seems to make it easier to lift it out straight for some reason. to turn your hand backwards you curl your arm around rather than sticking your elbow out to the side. Seen a lot of climbers use it this way (even righties!) because its on the opposite side to your topper!

I'm a lefty too and I found I got used to it being backwards really quickly - it even seems to drop in better when its backwards!
