I know this may sound even worse but if the boss is climbing the trees to delimb or rope up. We use the winch on the front of the truck. WE STILL PUT THE ANCHOR/SAFETY LINE UP FIRST just in case something does go wrong. And that line can be used if needed to takestuff up to him or lower him if we have a problem with the winch. But goin back to anchoring off a MEWP defo not. It is asking too much. It is designed to carry people and equipment not as an anchoring point as your body weight may double (due to G-Forces) and then become a pendulum.
