Android vs Blackberry

Are any of you guys using android phones? im particularly interested in hearing from people who have switched from blackberry to the android platform. Im due for an upgrade next month and im not too impressed by the reviews on the latest blackberry compared to some of the androids.

I think HTC are going to give the iphone a bit of competition! I am stuck in deciding to go for an HTC or the iphone 4.

ive always stuck with blackberry mainly due to the push mail.....the android allow push gmail so it would be easy enough to set up a gmail account and forward my other emails to it

I've a Blackberry Curve from GreenMech and the standard HTC Desire for non work stuff. Both are good in their own way but I have to say that the HTC has several better features like the camera, and it just feels quality in comparison to the Blackberry. Battery life could be better though - make sure you get a car charger in the deal. The Android platform is good to boot.

I had an iPhone and a couple of months ago moved to HTC desire, I find it much better than the iPhone, haven't used a 4 though. The whole phone runs more smoothly and with no glitches, if your into apps I think the free ones on android are better than any on iPhone, although most seem pointless on both! The qwerty keypad on blackberries I like the look of more than the touch screen pad I have, though predictive text helps a lot. Think its probably a case of either or.

I heard the desire was soon to be discontinued, but may have just been sales pitch.

 

I got the wildfire, just about the same as the desire but slightly more compact. Mike has a blackberry and after fiddling around with my HTC i have converted him!

 

I can say the HTC really has changed my life!
