Ignorant human beings

Last winter we towed 4 vehicles behind our L200. Granted we should have done it one at a time but it was on a very gentle uphill slope and the cars couldnt get up it. Only one person said thank you and that was one of the big land owners for the current section of trailway in north dorset. The rest of them just unhitched when we got to the main road and continued on their journey. Its so frustrating. I think the worst case of ignorance i have had to deal with is a member of the public who had a largish 3 stem sycamore leaning over their house. We removed it 3 weeks later and the member of the public didn't like the massive hole we had left and wanted it replanted with Pyracantha to stop people walking down the 1 in 3 slope that was covered in flattened brambles. The member of the public will be extremely upset this winter as we are having that section clear felled as the majority of the trees are nackered (tight forks, splits, severe squirrel damage, etc). Hopefully they wont complain about he leaves this year. lol

some people can be ignorant and just down right unhelpful....

Went to work this morning feeling a little unwell but needed the money so went anyway. By the time 11 o'clock came i was up a mahoosive conifer and feeling rather unwell and feverish (man flu i thought, so i carried on). In the end i had to get home, told the customer i'd be back in the morning and started to drive home. On my way home i started to get pins and needles ALL over my body but it was affecting my hands which had clasped shut and my vision which was blurry, i was also breathing too rapidly and nearly crashed the car.

I pulled over to be sick at the side of the road but no joy, pins and needles where getting worse, i could hardly speak and only just managed to dial 999 on the phone as i was genuinely worried something was wrong... As i was trying to speak to the operator who was finding it very difficult to understand me, i couldn't remember where i was so crawled to the front of my car and tried to wave to someone to stop.

AT LEAST 9-10 cars drove past and looked at me and NOT ONE stopped!! eventually a jogger came past and spoke to the emergency services about my location.

Well after spending, 4 hours in hospital this afternoon strapped to a heart monitor and blood pressure device turns out i have a sickness bug, very low blood pressure and apparently am doing to much (yes i am a big girl) but the point is... NO ONE STOPPED!:sneaky2:

It is so bloody frustrating. Ithink the bit that really gets on my nerves is when we block of a section of old railway line with our work trucks by parking them at an angle with a bit of the old axle articulation going. They just proced to somehow walk thru the brambles and nettle and continue on their journey. I tried to stop a member of the public on their mountain bike as we were just about to fell a large tree and i was knocked down by him. He fell off the bike also but blamed me for his injuries. My boss very quickly said to him "Your the **** racing down the trailway when you know full well that we are doing tree work. Now you have left my colleague (me) with a split on his forehead and slightly concussed. Thank you very much". We had only been on site an hour and a half but my cut was pouring blood and combined with the concussion around chainsaws and a raging fire we called it a day and went to the nearest A & E. An hour later in the A & E i came out with 6 stiches and a kiddy certifcate for being brave as i didn't want anesthetic. I am 21 by the way. lol

At least around here plenty of people would of stopped.

They would of nicked the phone out of your hands and made off in your car, but they wouldnt of just passed you by.

Indeed, it amazed me that people got so upset when the Sun told the truth about Hillsborough.

the truth Dave? where are your facts from? Im not going to rant that i have a dozen friends that were at the game that day who are nice lads, who still state they saw nothing of the sort that was reported in the sun, do you not think that cameras would have seen any of the incidents if they would have happened. The sun succeded in selling lots of news papers.

I am sorry if my post caused offense, not my intention.

So I guess you disagree with Masterh's post???

No one has said they all did it, but some did, but as some of those people would stab you for your wallet, taking it off you when your dead is no big deal.

Or maybe Liverpool has just had bad press and its all lovely, a great place to take the family.

liverpool is a great place to take the family, as is manchester leeds etc, in regards to masterh post, i actually agree with his post but surely you accept that every city in the country have crime stats that match liverpool, and the same could happen in any of them. Most major towns and cities in the country have parts as bad as Liverpool or salford, i know wigan, warrington, st helens etc can have equally as bad issues. Yeah liverpool has a bad rep for a good reason but no worse than hundreds of places in the uk, just the record i dont really like liverpool.
