just went to look at job. the work to be done was a prity big confier over a road with power lines about a foot away. there was also 2 pines to come down they also hade power lines in the middle of them . there was also about 20ft to come of 6 over pines and aload of small trees to be reduced. i cant belive that they can price soo little for the work and work soo close to the power lines. its not even a power line company that is doing the work. the client even said that no body said anything about tuning it off. how the hell can you compete with that. i beats me

Even the crustiest of jugglers will have charged more than £350 for a beast of a job like that, that is, if they've any intent on actually getting the job done..

 

Either that or it's a nice little imaginary number than the client dreamed up that he wouldn't mind paying for such a job.

nooo i noo the price is rite cos i worked at the company for 2 years and not wat there like . and the lad who i was going to do it with the client is sumfing to do with his mum . well as you say rather him then me. cos there was no way i was goin near it

now you know why they only paid you £30 a day and had you working 10 hours a day and have now lost 2 lads in 2 years when they have just done the 2 year course at askham with no pay when at askham anyone can undercut but you need to keep your staff happy and at the end of the day safety comes first in this game

it sounds harsh but get used to it , sadly its happening more and more - my advice is keep your standards high and your pricing just as high !! dont stoop as low as these guys . would you rather take a day off or work for free ?

The tree game in this town has always been cut-throat. Certain companies will always keep the price down by providing low pay & working them hard. Nothing ever changes
