I have a good working relationship with my LPA. However, can the LPA demand that you fill in one of their application forms. In a neighbouring LPA these forms are quite time consuming and require photo's and lots of info.

Or can you just write them a dated letter explaining what you intend to do? Bearing in mind I'm talking about Con Areas, not TPO's. As far as I knew all you had to do was inform the LPA of the work you intend to do and it's up to them from there on in wether they allow the work to go ahead or TPO the tree.

I had this last week:thumbdown:

In a word no they can't (IMO)

But may not be as help full in future if you get their backs up.

So I am going to use the form, BUT I will only be putting on the form the things that are required for a "notification" not an "application".

So forget pictures, reports etc.:001_smile:

You could always use the Planning Portal and bypass each Council's individual requirement and keep it all paperless.

Err, no, I haven't had the pleasure of actually submitting something, I'm usually the LA bod' that sits and interrogates it. And it's far simpler than some of the LA systems I've used.

Try it - you might like it

Not that I've had any direct experience either, and thank goodness by the sound of it, but my understanding is that you are not required to submit CA Notifs using the standard application form...although you can do so and it perhaps wins favours with your LPA.

Cheers..
