Oregon Sharpening Device

Anyone heard of a Oregon POWERSHARP!!! saw it in a gardening magazine looks like you bolt it to the end of the bar, run the saw and hey presto its sharp. Anybody got one? used one? any good? etc.

 

Think i may know the answer to if its any good but see what people say.

 

If it has been posted before i apologise from the heart of my bottom now.

I have had a quick look at this and seems its only for low profile chains .....but i have been known to be wrong :blushing:

 

Your right, Power sharp is intended for the homeowner who can't sharpen and is only made in 3/8 .050 [91VXL or picco] however, read the threads on here and see for your self that as a dirty wood saw you can keep your big saws for the decent timber and spend less time sharpening.

 

Just calulate how many jobs you take that mean sharpening a lot due to dirt, stones, fence staples etc each sharpen takes time and time is money.

 

This costs approx £45.00 + vat and fits to all saws under 45cc using a 14" or 16" bar and chain.

 

I've cut bricks, roots, and stuck it into the ground and it always sharpens in 4 seconds and cuts wood again straight away.
