What stops the quickdraws slipping over the shackles and ending up in the centre of the bridge?

And thanks Rob, are you sure you don't want to give them another bash?

I could give them another go. I'll buy some shackles and have a go with them on there.

Rich I too use a snaplock. Are there any better parts instead of the small shackles? A maillon or something?

Mark, they are only connected to one side of the shackle.

I dont get what the mod is for???

If its for a lanyard to be attached to something other than the side d's then the sequoia has the gold rings???

Godammit Spencer you're a genius!

For some reason I've always thought that the gold rings were not meant to be tied into. What a plum, no reason not to at all.

Quick dash outside to the truck to grab harness and side strop, just had a swing off my punch bag hook - well comfy! I'll use that for the odd occasion I have to hang with all my weight on my lanyard. Cheers.

I'll get some quick draws anyway. I like to have as much gear as possible on my harness when I wear it to the pub after work.

mark if you want as much gear as possible just hang all your saws on your harness and drag those around.

if you look at the label it says the hooks are rated for the attachment.but hooking crabs where theres fabric involved is why there is this idea in the first place, will have to see what its like without them myself.

I often use my gold rings for extras. Like when you are at a funny angle and you would have to go awkwardly around the ring to clip into the side d. Just use the gold rings. I also use them to drag a lowering role around now and again. Saves fiddling behind you for a different attachment.

thats an interesting mod to your harnes , i usually tend to clip my working strop into the attachment points for the bridge (sliding d) on my skylotec , i find its a far more comfortable way to work on a pole as opposed to using the side D's , however if im sectioning down a pole then i usually tend to run my rope off of the attachment points for the bridge and hive my wire core flip line working of the side D's .

good shout! Im giving this a go next climb!

The only thing is there not rated for suspension. The only harness with lower d's rated for suspension is the treemotion. So dont go dangling from them:001_tongue:.

I personally feel that petzl misssed a bit of a trick there:confused1:
