I don't think the swivel positioner is much of an improvment, just a variation. I've got a positioner like yours and they are great, but since the Cinch came out I've not used it. The Cinch is cheaper I think and it just does what its supposed to do a bit better than a positioner IMO, plus it can also be used on a single line so it opens up more work positioning possibilities.

 

The positioner though is a huge improvement on any friction hitch set up so a good bargain I'm sure. Plus if it was Tony's then it would have only been used about twice!!

But doesn't the CINCH only work on ropes up to 11 mm diameter? Whereas the ART Positioner will accept up to 13mm. Just something to consider.

I use a cinch on lanyard and positioner on metal stop right tool for right job:thumbup:

but do like my positioner:thumbup:
