Not too sure of the company name, Twilight could give the idea that you are happy to do what the client wants once the tree officer is tucked up in bed.

Of course this could be a money maker, but would be a shame to saddle yourself with a title that you would have to explain away when you are pitching for work in the future.:001_smile:

Wish you all the best for the future:thumbup:

Try and get away with basic equipment mate don't finance fancy stuff you don't need and only buy gear when you can afford it then when there is no work in you don't have to panic about paying too many bills. Good luck mate

:dito:. Exactly what i done and have got a few bits now!! You'll soon get it together. Good luck.

hi

your based in the same area as me, just remember your trying to make a living so when pricing don't go shooting yourself in the foot, theres loads of competition about and some of them are stupidly cheep but offering sub standard work.

most of the work you will get will be recommendations so go out your way to keep your customers happy.

and as said before try not to get to many overheads

also how much do you sub yourself out for as a climber?

many thanks simon

Wow thats brave dude .. the very best of luck

key tips

Be professional , be curteous, be on time , do what you say you will, remember this is a business & there may not always be money & work around, dont spend more than you need, but buy what you can out of surplus profits,

remember to keep enough £ back for at least four months incase its quite nov-feb

if they ask can you you say yes ,, other than its illegal or against your code of works obviously so take on fencing ,grass cutting whatever it takes too many insist on being sole arbs taking on no other type of work & its not always an easy thing to do ,,

finance can be a killer , when you £ are quite as it costs regardless of your work load

listen to anyone whos been through it & make your own mind up from as brad a spectrum as you can

As the saying goes 'if business was easy then everyone would do it'

Its NOT EASY ,, the true test comes when things go wrong ,, mishaps/ breakdowns/ equipment replacements unforeseen costs

or you've simply got nothing to do

all the best

Iain
