why does every one say hes such a good climber ?? im not for one minute saying he isnt but standing in the centre of the tree felling long branches out doesnt involve alot of climbing , i enjoyed watching the vids but some of the rigging done buy guys on here in smaller trees is alot more technical , does make me a bit jelous as to how much space there is over there in the states :thumbup1:

Pat is a fast and efficient climber, both detail and production oriented. He has a pleasant personality, and is always good to work with. I'd put his productivity up against anyone's.

We both have the same teacher, So our styles are somewhat similar. We like to take big pieces when it can be done safely. Often using a near balance point tie off on the pieces to reduce shock loads. Having someone you can trust on the ropes is essential. I ran the ropes on the first tree, then the camera on part of the second and third, then back to the ropes again.

He did make some mistakes which I left in the video on purpose, but no one so far has mentioned the one I have the strongest feelings about.

he in fact made several, but nothing of any consequence...he could have been better positioned at times, also placed the rigging slightly different to avoid some of the butt flipping.....but he clearly was aware of all these so its largely irrelevant
