Sweet pictures John, I still have a Danny Way board but I am useless at skating.

I have an old, Dogtown Scott Oster deck from the mid eighties stored in the garage.

I have been told that a old friend of mine, an original seventies skater, then back into it in the eighties, (he was featured in the old Rad magazine), has got back into skating, he must be around 45 years old by now.

R ead A nd D estroy - I remember the mag well... skating is a blast from the past. gonna try and pick up some old pics and scan them in. we used to go through a couple of films a week trying to get the magazine style photo...:icon14:

Steve, I know what you mean about the facilities these days. the amount of building sites we used to rob for ply and 2"x2" to build our mini ramps and fly offs is pretty bad when you think about it. Now i drive along and there are ramps / complexes all over. I used to cadge lifts to washington (nr newcastle) just to ride a decent half pipe and mini. c'est la vie!!!:wave:

I have a couple of new deal decks in my old fellas garage. Used to have the dogtown chalkboard - the base was just like a teachers chalkboard so you could draw your own graffics... I never was a graffic skater though! as soon as you had a new deck or trucks, set it up, no rails and find the gnarliest brick wall to christen the old girl.
