Friction cord for tachyon

as title suggests, not happy with the prussik i've been using on my 11mm tachyon,, have bee line on my VT but am looking to add a new prussik for when i cannot be bothered with the VT,

 

SO,, what do you tachyon users use for prussik?

I've got a 60cm ocean poly 10mm prussik I have as a spare. Works well when I did use it. Don't anymore though. I had it on blaze and now on xtc. No problems!

find that the Vt is great in certain applications but not all,,

 

think it's experience rich,, you have lots of it,, i don't

 

It's the speed into the tree that i find the prussik a little better for me,,

Ocean polyester. Grips like 'ell ade.

You could have a look at 8mm liros. Its thin-ness may make it suitable. I have some on a distel hitch- its ace.

8mm or 10mm liros is good mate on a vt and prussic only problem is wears out quicker then other cords but you get wat you payed for quite cheap stuff:001_smile:

ok,, then looking at jonesies site,,, the options are beeline,, or marlow,,

 

am i right in thinking i need at least 3mm difference between the cord and rope to be effective,,

 

if that's the case then there isnt alot of choice? or can someone enlighten me?

The prussik must be thinner than the climbing line.

The marlow is probably too thick.

The Marlow is 8mm double braid, so should be OK size wise.
