Hi everyone,

I'm seriously considering getting a 4x4 of some description, either a 110 or a ford ranger/whatever the mazda is that's pretty much the same as a ranger. I became self employed in July, and so far have got away with my Berlingo van however with winter approaching I think I may need something a bit more capable of dealing with wet, ice and snow!

My local NFU isn't answering the phone, so I can't get a quote from them at the moment. Does anyone have any other reccomendations for good cheap companies to get insurance for a pickup from?

about to go and compare some meerkats now

cheers,

Joe

I'd try the nfu again monday morning, they insured my discovery for half of my renewal price from directline, they're the only insurance company i've never heard anything bad about

NFU would even quote us as we had not had insurance with them before. Try Adrian Flux, all our vehichles are with them and they will except modifications, ie, winches, chip boxes

NFU would't touch me for liability as my website said Dangerous tree removals

Where abouts are you from only if your near me, two Ford Rangers with J Rose Tree Stuff written on the side might be a bit confusing

IMO NFU are a waste of time. I called them and asked for a quote for PL and EL, there agent came out and took all my info, said they would like to quote for my vehicle and tools insurance also. he said he would get back to me with a cost. That was in Feb. i did ring a couple of times and they never rang back. im with trust, have been for the last 6 years, £ 500 fully comp on my 130 any driver, with chip box, winch etc.
