As some of you may know, i'm not actually involved professionally in Tree surgery. I'm a geo for a big mining company near Dublin in a place called Navan.

I gather quite a few of you guys like your 4x4's so i thought i'd gather up some pictures from around the main yard and show you what some of our underground fleet look like - comprising mostly 110 Landys, Hilux's and Land cruisers (plus a few other bits and bobs) We run about 60 of these 'light vehicles' right now and i have access to about 10.:001_cool:

One thing about the Irish , they aren't scared to work a machine hard lol are those Landcruisers sourced in Eire mate?

Ahh, those landys get some serious abuse underground, last an average of only two years, before the service expenses outweigh a new replacement and they're shipped out to Africa for re-build and deployment in MInes there.

The scrapped landys in the final pictures are machines that have been involved in collisions with 60 ton dumpers and front end loaders underground, usually due to poor parking decisions. They are stripped of parts and then used in mine rescue training operations.

Don't think there Irish sourced, as they're all left hand drives for some reason

(all the landys and hiluxs are standard R.H.D's). Those landcruisers are a newish edition to the fleets, i'll find out though.
