If you gained work on the strength of being C&G and NPTC qualified when you weren't then YOU would technically be breaking the law (prove it though) but advertising stickers can't be illegal. The guy sells mainly arb stuff and does say in the listing 'CS holders only please'.

Perhaps he demands to see tickets before he releases the stickers...? He doesn't say so but he may. In that case it would be like a retailer viewing a CS38 cert before releasing a tophandled saw.

It's sold now (apparently for £7.50 + p&p - can't believe that..:001_huh:) but I wonder if NPTC would have had something to say about it. As far as I know, they generally give permission for people to use it on letterheads etc, once they've checked up on qualifications, but peddling the logo like that ?

Its just NPTC, crikey i wouldnt bother advertising something that is a legal reqiurement!

For some people NPTC is all they have, just look through the yellow book NPTC is ubiquitous.

NPTC isn’t a legal requirement (it would need a statute law to require that), however competencies are required by the HSE but aren’t a legal requirement pre se.
