Best pair of socks I have ever owned were actually Royal navy fire department specials. Flame retardent, warm and comfy as my slippers. A bit like totes toasties but for work. Cant get them anymore though as they have changed the locks.

I'm a two-pair man meself, thin and silky underneath with thick and scratchy on the outside. Sealskinz (£30 per pair) are worth every penny come planting season.

I was once told that natives who walk bare footed all their life have very few foot issues so a few years ago once a week i'd walk to the paper shop in bare feet.It was quite liberating and was going well until I stood in the obvious and someone stood on my foot in the shop.Dont let that put you off though, when youv'e walked for a while in bare feet try putting your shoes on and go for a short walk, your feet feel ace.:thumbup1:
