I've been using this for the last two days. It is a nice knot. Didn't notice much difference between using 4 turns or 5, only that it makes the knot closer to your krab which has been better it i'm branchwalking.

:thumbup::thumbup: big thumbs up from me........seems to bite every time without having to worry about dressing it........havent done a big climb on it yet so will have to see how it self tends.

Tried this for the last couple of days.

 

Doesn't seem as smooth as the VT, but locks every time.

 

I was becoming more and more aware that I was 'dressing' the VT to make it lock before commiting my weight, which wouldn't be pretty if I slipped and didn't have time to dress it.

 

My rope is filthy and worn at the mo, and I can see this hitch (with Hitchclimber) being a real winner with newer/cleaner rope.

same mark.....found i was constantly dressing VT and was always aware about slipping and it not being there for me......the michocan fills me with more confidence.....as you say a little stiffer but a small price to pay for feeling more secure an safer:thumbup1:
