In a huff today. Noticed the back of my truck was open as I went to my lockup this morning. Leafblower was in there. Not anymore. There was some other hand tools in there. Couple of rakes. Shovel and a litterpicker. Big stihl bag with mystein jacket and lid and my new berghaus waterproof. Only the blower was taken but they had a snoop around the rest of the stuff. Front was untouched.

It was a 2001 br420 backpack blower. Only had the short tube on it.

Was from eccleston st Helens in merseyside.

I'm glad that's all there was!

I have no sympathy mate, if you leave gear in a van/pick up then you are asking for it to be robbed. i used to leave saws etc locked in the tool box of my landy untill i found some scratches around the lock.

I despise this kind of attitude!!!!

Why do people feel the need to make excuses for thieving scum!!!:confused1:

your entitled to your opinion !

These are the times we live in. as for making excuses for theiving scum, then dont give them an excuse for taking our gear by leaving it in vehicles overnight. Will Rob leave gear in the pick up overnight again? i doubt it.

Every night when I am putting my gear in a steal container, I feel resentful that I have to take such measures.

We should be able to leave our gear any where with it being stolen.

Of course we should. we should be able to keep our gear locked in our truck same as we should be able to leave our houses unlocked when we are in the back garden, or stuff in our sheds without some scumbag climbing a fence and robbing it, same as we should be able to use our credit cards without the fear of it being cloned. But we cant. These are the times we live in and unfortunatly we cant do much about it. I do feel for rob that he has been robbed but thats what can happen if you leave gear where it can be taken. when i got robbed it was my own fault for leaving my gear where it could be eaisly got at. i wont ever do that again. I also have all my gear insured.
