was well impressed when i invented a hole in the chipbox with a chainsaw for the ladders to poke through.. i wish someone would invent some way of stopping the chip coming through when the ladders aren't in there..:blushing:

Heavy duty rubber flap bolted along top of hole only . Ladders when out flap drops down  . Past ur bedtime

i was standing a board in there but everytime i look away it falls down, oh well due to staffing malfunction (day off) tomorrow i might look into a solution.

how about a remote controlled tree climbing robot that grips the stem like a harvester head, and drives up until it gets to a branch, then grips the branch and cuts/ lowers it down on a rope, or just cuts and drops if you press a button..

Sorry ? Flap think of maybe rubber mini digger tracks . So when the ladders are removed the rubber digger track flops back down :thumbup1:. Cut to size .

You misunderstand, I posted at the same time as you suggesting a flap.

I would use plywood or alloy with hinges.
