Good on your mother for caring.

I was genuinely homeless at one point in my life and through the kindness of a police officer lending me enough money to get back to a friendly town I got my life back on track. I paid him back and will be forever in his debt for helping me. However those weeks on the streets (about 7 I think, it was a long time ago) taught me that not everybody there is to be trusted, so along with my admiration , I wish you luck

Fair play to your mum for helping her i just hope it doesn't back fire and she genuiney wants help. This hits a raw nerve with me as people say there r places out there to help people in situations like this but it needs nice people like your mum to point them in the right direction. Yes there r shelters you can go to but they r very daunting for young people and you can easily get in with the drugs and the drink.

I was homeless for about 2mths sleeping rough, now and again would manage to get showers and stuff from various places. In the end managed to get a room with shared kitchen and bathroom that was through a place called glowfish, first week went well but in that place i saw things that most people wouldn't see in a life time and wouldn't wish on people to see (Put it this way my bedroom door was a solid fire door with 5mm thick metal sheeting on both sides). So off i went back on the streets for a few weeks i felt safer there TBH, me ended up plucking up the courage to get in contact with me dad and with his help im here today.

What im trying to say is this world needs more people like your mum as the System doesn't always work, it needs people to steer them in the right direction and not get passed from pillar to post.

It always the genuine people who slip through because there to busy concertrating on the arse holes of this world its the same for homeless, benifits etc etc .
