I wouldn't use debt collection agencies to start with.Write them a letter politely stating that you can see of no reason why they should not have paid you monies owed.Invite them to respond in writing(this demonstrates that you are serious and intent on making things official)and give them a reasonable period to respond(usually 2weeks) and state that an unsatisfactory response will lead to instructions been given to your solicitor to instigate legal proceedings.Best of luck.

I know a knacker man who takes care of things for me but only as a last resort (now 6!)

other than that I agree with a polite letter. If you took rubbish away then its still legally his until he pays you for removing it... hint hint!!

i was only there as a cutter so no waste etc, i dont wanna go down this route but cant see any other way of getting my money. hes also about 200 miles away so id rather not go down to see him. im sick of wasting time trying to get it, writing a letter is another 20 mins of my life i shouldnt need to spend chasing it, infact the more i think about it the more annoyed i get. cheers for replies

I would write a letter adding on a pecentage each time you talk to him, write a letter, stamps as it all costs you (warn him first). Then solicitors letter (i would add the solicitors costs), then if all else fails rip him a new 'a' hole.

I satrted a thread on this other week got asked to pollard a tree then said she's not paying because it looks crap I explained that I've done what she asked and repeatedly said it would look bad. She then said I'm not payin and her husband isn't happy and that he's rough think she knew what she was gonna do
