Good Day

I know this was asked before but cant find it.

Going to start out on my own, part time 3 days a week to see if it works out.

Just wondering what everyone started out with kit wise.

I was thinking....

Things i have...

Pick-up

Climbing kit

Hedge trimmer

Long reach hedge timmer

Pole saw

Brush cutter

Husky 350 (15 inch bar)

Things i need...

Trailer with high sides

Climbing saw(going to give the Makita a try)

Large ground saw(26'' to 36'' bar)

Signs,cones,etc

Rigging gear

Can anyone think of anything else that would be essential.Money is tight so will be renting a chipper when its needed.

Thanks for the help:icon14:

Treemonster i personally thing your next buy should be a climbing saw,Imo you should make sure that you have a good supplier localy for makita and make sure they have spares as down time costs money.I have a stihl due to availability of parts and they are well priced for what they have to do.

Good luck in your venture.:icon14::wave:

Allways get the best kit you can afford at the time, dont get things on a wim unles you hav the money going spare and just save like mad so you can build up slowley. I know of a few lads who went out and got everything in 1 go,spent every last penny then had no work on. good luck.

Your Starting with better kit than I had , I had a knackered escort van, a pair of double extension ladders, pair of loppers, bow saw, cheap shank of blue polyprop rope, and a mculoch lawn mower..
