well if you're straining the tea bag with the concave part of the spoon it stands to reason you're not getting as much pressure against the tea bag

 

I get the teabag in the concaved part of the spoon lightly against the side of the cup and agitate until I can't see the bottom of the cup.

You havn't had a cup of british workmans tea then. Timed right this beverage is the tears of christ.

 

'Tears of Christ' eh? You must make some mighty fine tea, that or it is rather salty! :)

 

I concur, though: a good cup of tea is tastier than beer, although I was in a different queue when they were giving out the gene for loving beer. Think I was in the adoring flowers queue.

 

A good cup of tea is mighty fine but a well made cup of coffee, stronger than your dad, with cream and honey is my favourite. Great for delveloping a pot belly :)

Ah yes but whats wrong with allowing the tea to diffuse from the bag, rather than forcing it out of the bag? Surely the forced technique must diminish the flavour somewhat? But then again tea-bags are just sooooooo common, with the sweepings from the floor within, now loose Assam tea from a caddy has to make the best of brews, one spoonful per person and one for the pot, alow to steep, gently stir with a silver tea-spoon, pour thru a strainer into the cup first, then add a little milk.

Milk first is for common folk with cheap pots,the milk cools the boiling tea and stops the pot from cracking.:thumbsdown:

If your posh like me, you only have bone china that can take the heat,so tea first then the milk:star:
