Hi Mate, welcome to the forum. Is there the possibility of rigging some gear in a branch above the seat area, if so a high ratio pulley block could be fixed into a branch above, then using hand over hand you could easily pull yourself up.

I'm sure someone could explain this better and post some links, but may be better to ask around a yacht chandler?

good luck on your search, happy shooting!

Best be would probably to get some sort of 3-1 system with pulleys so as to lessen the load by a huge amount. Could also use a sort of belay system as a self hoist.

Is the high seat situated in a tree or on a platform?

maybe just a thick rope with knots tied in it,then a thin rope that you could abseil down on?You could wear a rucksack that carried you Bino's and Ammo in and just tie your Rifle by its sling to the end of the thin Rope and pull it up when your there?

The pretension system when using a lowering bollard would possibly be of use. A three to one system like frank says, but incorporating a prussik loop on it to lock it off.

Reg coates has done a vid about his RC2000 lowering device. It can be found here:Stein RC2000 Lowering Device At the end of the vid he demonstrates a 3-1 system and a simpler set up incorporating a prussic loop and pulley. I reckon it would be worth looking at that for some ideas. (scroll down the page to find the vid BTW)
