The males come out at this time of year to find the burrows of females, Our cat has caught them before, I know they're soft because I have trapped them in the past. Pick one up if you get the chance the fur really is incredible.

A tale of an inclusionist indeed, love it.

 

I once stepped on a mole when fishing as a young man, more a boy i spose. I had obviously hurt its foot and popped it into my pocket and took him home, he lived with me in my draw in the bedroom. he was a hungry little so and so and ate as much worm as i could muster, when he appeared to be ok a few weeks later i took him back to his place on the alluvial plains.

 

Remarkable little creatures, with fur that is so soft it has been highly prized as pocket linings for millenia.

 

one of the fastest metabolisms around eating thier own wieght in worms per day.
