I took three big ish black pines down last week, The client changed his mind on keeping the timber and asked me to take it all away. I could have got a man in for the day, but this track barrow only cost £60 delivered, it had its own shovel so you could flip the rings streight into the bucket drive out and dump into the trailer, I even used it to pull the bigest stem over.

 

way better than a man would have been.

looks like a top machine that, unless you got to not mark the lawn with tracks at all how much weight will it carry/tip off?

excellent Tom, my barrow is great but you have to hand ball it off and use ramps. I take it the last bit of crazy handballing put you off for life lol

Good for 750kg i think, though you'd never fit that much wood on it. It was a surprise when it turned up tbh, I was expecting a smaller slimmer one that I had hired in the past, i had less than an inch to spare gettig it through the gate. The design isn't perfect as its really ment for loose earth etc, but it was ideal for rings. Just drive up to the end of the log, push a ring over onto the shovel, flip it in, drive forward and repeat. I filled my trailer in no time. Tipping is a problem though as when the trailer gets full the shovel gets in the way a bit. Nothing you cant get round though, and way better than a wheelbarrow.

 

I'd definately hire it again. it may be in some video I took but I was that knackered last week i haven't bothered looking at it yet.

Actually I think its more like 350kg, I had forgotten about taking the sides off too, they must weigh 150 kgs.
