"When you’re on your own, have a child and are offered £1,100, it’s a tough thing to turn down"

She was only offered that because she'd stuck em up on e-Bay!!!

If she found money that tight and hard to come by, why not save it? Why spent £1100 on a pointless holiday.

Seriously not cool...

She added: ‘I regret the fact that I lost the medals and I would love to get them back one day. I loved my brother and miss him every day, but I wanted to give my son the best.’

The best what, tan?

Thats a disgrace, if something like that happened to me, i would remember the fallen, not take advtange for something as material and selfish as a holiday!

Tbh if i was the dead soldier I would want my missus or sister etc to sell them and deffo go and enjoy themselves on holiday.

Sounds like there is a bit of a feud between the family and the fiancee though.

"As an ex-serviceman myself, I couldn’t believe the family of a fallen soldier who died in a war that was still going on would offer me his medals."

That comment from the dealer said it all and even selling the shell casings of the gun salute over his coffin !!????

My opinion is she thought nothing of her brother, she thought everything about herself. A two week cruise would leave very little of the money she got.

Her brother would have thought more of her had she donated the money to a charity setup to help servicemen injured said war :confused1:

Selfish cow

I personally would want my widow to pay off debts first to ensure their long term happiness
